Chief Presides Over Opening Ceremony of A-Park Batu Kawan Sales Gallery; Ann Joo Group and ESG Association Sign Memorandum of Understanding

On Saturday (9th), Ancubic Group held a grand opening ceremony for the A-Park Batu Kawan sales center, part of its new industrial park project located in Batu Kawan, South Seberang Perai, Penang. At the same time, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed with the Malaysian Association for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow and many business representatives attended the ceremony.
Managing Director of Ancubic Group, Dato' Low Boon An said that A-Park Batu Kawan has been well received by the market since its launch, including inquiries from multinational companies, and about 80% of the units have been sold so far.
He said that A-Park Batu Kawan will play a supporting role for multinational companies' factories in Batu Kawan, in order to meet the growing international emphasis on environmental, social and regulatory and carbon reduction.
He said that one way for factories to reduce carbon emissions is to bring suppliers and distributors to their location, which would reduce transportation distances and thus reduce carbon emissions and pollution generated during transportation. Therefore, A-Park Batu Kawan, located in an area full of multinational corporations, can help multinational corporations reduce carbon emissions.
He pointed out that the project also collaborated with the Malaysian Association for Environmental, Social, and Governance to ensure that the construction process met environmental, social and regulatory standards.

Therefore, Penang definitely has enough land to meet the foreign direct investment needs for the next five years. In addition, Penang also plans to acquire land in the future to continue to promote industrial development.
He said that as we move into the future, we must recognize the challenges we face. In this context, strategic policies and infrastructure development play a crucial role in promoting sustainable growth, with ongoing initiatives including the Penang Transport Master Plan, the Bayan Lepas LRT project, and the Juru-Sungai Expressway, demonstrating Penang's commitment to improving connectivity and promoting inclusive development within the state.
He welcomed the Transport Minister's announcement and thanked the central government for approving the Penang International Airport expansion plan and for the Prime Minister's visit last month to the ground breaking ceremony of Batu Kawan Industrial Park 3 in Penang, which reaffirmed Penang's importance to the country's economic prosperity.
