Mydin Opening Ceremony

SHAH ALAM: Tri Shaas Sdn Bhd has opened a new Mydin Mart franchise supermarket in Padang Jawa, Section 16, with an investment of RM6 million.

Its Executive Director, Shaakir Siraj, said Mydin Mart began operating on two floors of the Suria Jaya building, occupying 1,554.8 square metres.

He said the strategic location near residential areas would support the outlet’s prospects while offering employment opportunities to local residents.

“Mydin now has 323 branches across 11 business concepts, with Kedai Rakyat 1Malaysia accounting for the largest share at 178 outlets. The Padang Jawa branch is the fifth Mydin Mart after Johor Bahru, Nilai, Shah Alam and Seri Muda,” he said at a press conference for the opening of Mydin Mart Padang Jawa.

Shaakir said the new premises were established with the socio-economic and demographic factors of the local community in mind. With a wholesale-price concept and the slogan “Why Pay More? Buy at Wholesale Prices!”, the outlet makes it easier for residents to obtain necessities at wholesale or bulk prices.

“Mydin Mart Padang Jawa encourages government organisations, private-sector organisations and individuals to carry out corporate social responsibility (CSR) because we offer wholesale prices.

“With Ramadan approaching, residents can make cost-saving bulk purchases here,” he said.
